Cruise-in-Company
The Tall Ships Race 2008
Every year a “Cruise in Company” leg is included
in The Tall Ships’ Races. This leg does not form part
of the competition, thus giving the ships a choice
of alternative routes while sailing. For instance,
some ships choose to swap members of their crews,
and many ships host paying guests on board.
In 2008, the “Cruise in Company” leg will cover
the distance between Måløy and Bergen, giving
the crews and sailing guests the opportunity to
experience the famous fjords of western Norway.
Some of theses narrow fjords, surrounded by
magnificent mountains, waterfalls and glaciers,
run more than 100 nautical miles inland from the
coast. Few other places in the world have the same
choice of pure water, clean air and unspoiled nature.
